			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Cadillac unveiled the next-generation 2010 SRX Crossover today, featuring a completely new design and more-efficient, high-technology engine choices. The new SRX is a mid-size luxury crossover coming to the North American International Auto Show next week.</p>
<p>&#8220;The all-new SRX is a fresh and compelling crossover aimed squarely at the priorities of luxury buyers,&#8221; said Mark McNabb, North America vice president, Cadillac/Premium Channel. &#8220;With new technologies for increased efficiency and safety, the redesigned 2010 SRX Crossover focuses on both the emotional and pragmatic sides of the luxury consumer.&#8221;</p>
<p>The 2010 SRX is designed for efficient performance, including the choice of two high-tech six-cylinder engines that are new to Cadillac – the smallest-displacement engines it offers in North America. A new, 3.0L direct injected V-6 engine is standard and a new, 2.8L turbocharged V-6 is optional. Both engines employ technology that helps produce strong performance that is typical of larger-displacement engines. Direct injection enables a 25-percent reduction in hydrocarbon emissions. Fuel economy in the mid-20s on the highway is expected, but testing isn&#8217;t complete.</p>
<p>Performance and safety are enhanced by an available all-wheel-drive (AWD) system that is designed to optimize vehicle handling and stability in all driving conditions. The AWD system includes an advanced electronic limited-slip differential (eLSD) that distributes torque as needed from side to side along the rear axle, as well as from the front to rear axle. The pre-emptive, active-on-demand system provides an extra measure of capability in wet or icy conditions.</p>
<p>The 2010 SRX rides on a wide track that was designed to deliver a nimble, responsive driving experience. It seats five, with generous occupant and cargo room, and can tow up to 3,500 pounds (1,587 kg).</p>
<p><strong>Distinctive design and craftsmanship</strong></p>
<p>&#8220;Cadillac is known for bold design. The 2010 SRX Crossover builds on that reputation,&#8221; said Clay Dean, Cadillac global design director. &#8220;As with the 2008 CTS, we advanced our Art and Science design to create a crossover for style-conscious customers. The exterior features a dramatic diving gesture on the body side to impart the feeling of movement, even at rest.&#8221;</p>
<p>A multi-piece shield grille and Cadillac&#8217;s iconic vertical headlamps – with light pipe technology and available adaptive forward lighting – are the face of the SRX. They blend into a tightly wrapped, sweeping body that tapers downward at the rear, giving the vehicle a sporty profile, Dean said.</p>
<p>The SRX features a wide stance, minimal overhang and wheels pushed to corners. Eighteen-inch wheels are standard and 20-inch wheels are offered. A bold accent line dives across the body side and culminates at a chrome front fender vent that incorporates a side marker lamp. An integrated spoiler on the rearward edge of the roof extends the sleek lines and improves aerodynamics.</p>
<p>&#8220;Inside the new SRX, technical precision blends with old-world craftsmanship,&#8221; Dean said. &#8220;Hand-cut-and-sewn coverings on the instrument panel and ambient lighting details convey a finely tailored cabin.&#8221;</p>
<p>An integrated center stack houses controls for climate and audio systems, while the navigation system rises from the center of the instrument panel. A signature example of the SRX&#8217;s attention to detail is the Cadillac script logos in the front door sill plates that illuminate when the doors are opened.</p>
<p><strong>Advanced technology and entertainment systems</strong></p>
<p>The 2010 SRX features numerous advanced electronic systems. Highlights include a &#8220;pop-up&#8221; navigation screen with three-dimensional imaging; adaptive forward lighting that swivels the headlamps in synch with vehicle steering; power liftgate with adjustable height setting; integrated hard disc drive for audio storage and a dual-screen system for rear entertainment.</p>
<p>Bluetooth compatibility is standard, as is OnStar&#8217;s turn-by-turn navigation service for buyers who do not select the car&#8217;s navigation system option.</p>
<p><strong>Efficient performance</strong></p>
<p>The SRX is powered by a new, fuel-efficient direct injected 3.0L V-6 that delivers an estimated 260 horsepower (193 kW) and is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. Direct injection results in more power, better fuel economy and lower emissions, all will a smaller-displacement package. As a result, the new V-6 engine is expected to raise the SRX&#8217;s standard power rating by 5 horsepower, while achieving an estimated 1 0-15-percent fuel economy improvement.</p>
<p>The 3.0L direct injection V-6 is a smaller-displacement version of the 3.6L, direct injection engine featured in the CTS sport sedan and named one of the world&#8217;s 10 Best Engines for 2009 by Ward&#8217;s Automotive. Along with direct injection technology, the 3.0L engine employs variable valve timing to optimize power and fuel efficiency and reduce emissions.</p>
<p>The Hydra-Matic 6T70 six-speed automatic transmission helps save fuel by lowering the engine&#8217;s rpm at constant highway speeds, while manual shift control enables greater driver interaction when desired. The new SRX includes a driver-selectable &#8220;eco mode&#8221; that alters transmission shift points to maximize fuel economy.</p>
<p>&#8220;The 2010 SRX will deliver excellent, balanced driving dynamics in all types of weather,&#8221; said Bob Reuter, global vehicle chief engineer. &#8220;The all-wheel-drive system with electronic limited slip effectively transfers torque not only from front to rear, but also along the rear axle. This system sets a new benchmark for all all-wheel-drive systems, giving the driver control and confidence on any road surface.&#8221;</p>
<p>Traction control is taken a step further on AWD models with the rear eLSD. In icy or wet conditions, the system can transfer up to 100 percent of torque to the wheel that has more grip. The eLSD also gives the driver enhanced control when cornering hard or completing a high-speed maneuver, such as a lane change, by momentarily applying more or less torque to either of the wheels to help the rear of the vehicle more closely follow the direction of the front wheels.</p>
<p>The suspension includes a real-time damping system in conjunction with AWD that adjusts shock damping rates in response to road conditions for a smooth ride quality.</p>
<p><strong>Enhanced safety</strong></p>
<p>SRX&#8217;s safety features are designed to protect occupants before, during and after a crash. A strong body structure and chassis that absorbs crash energy is complemented by the use of martensitic steel in the fully enclosed rocker sections. Martensitic steel is one of the strongest available and its use in the rockers helps protect against intrusion during a side-impact crash, while also maintaining the structure during front and rear crashes.</p>
<p>Additional safety features include standard head curtain side air bags, standard front seat-mounted pelvic/thorax side air bags, front safety belts with dual pretensioners and load limiters, rollover mitigation sensors, a pedal release system, trailer stability assist and OnStar.</p>
<p>The SRX was also designed to meet European pedestrian protection standards; and the front bumper is positioned for greater compatibility with car bumpers.</p>
<p>Production begins in the second quarter of 2009, with dealer availability shortly thereafter.</p>

All of which makes the multi-design-award-winning Mercedes-Benz Coupé unmistakable.</p>
<p>Coupés are truly special cars. Not least the Mercedes Coupés, which have always epitomised automotive elegance, exclusivity and refinement at the very highest level. With the CLS, Mercedes-Benz paved the way for four-door coupés. The trend-setting model from Stuttgartinspires coupé enthusiasts with its exciting and muscular styling.</p>
<p><strong>Even more pronounced lines through new paint</strong></p>
<p>The new Mercedes-Benz CLSGrand Edition catches the eye straight away. A unique &#8220;designo magno platinum&#8221; matt paint finish brings the lines and contours of the premium Coupé fully to the fore and emphasises its multi-award-winning design. As well as being an eye-catching feature, the matt paint finish is highly scratch- and dirt-resistant. In keeping with the avant-garde paintwork, the radiator grille louvres are also painted in &#8220;designo magno platinum&#8221;.<br />
The Grand Edition customers can select from a choice of metallic paint finishes: obsidian black, iridium silver, carneol red or flint grey.</p>
<p><strong>The additional exterior equipment for the CLSGrand Edition includes:</strong></p>
<p><em>-Bi-xenon headlamps with dark headlamp casings, active light function and cornering light function in the fog lamps, headlamp cleaning system, and dynamic headlamp range adjustment </em></p>
<p>-Exclusive, high-sheen AMG18-inch 5-spoke light-alloy wheels with pockets painted in titanium grey, shod with 245/40 R 18 (front) and 275/35 R 18 (rear) tyres</p>
<p>-A &#8220;Grand Edition&#8221; insignia on the front wings</p>
<p><strong>designo interior displaying sporty, elegant touches</strong></p>
<p>The no-nonsense elegance continues inside the car. Here a perfectly matched designo interior and a roof lining in anthracite Alcantara, together with the standard-fit tilting/sliding glass roof, define the sporty, elegant style. Special touches are provided by the designo leather upholstery in &#8220;marron&#8221; – with the option of substituting this shade for sand, black, mystic red, porcelain or chablis.</p>
<p>The trim elements in high-quality laurel wood can be ordered with either a matt or a high-gloss finish. The same material is used for the selector lever and the wood/leather steering wheel. Sport pedals in brushed stainless steel with rubber studs underline the sporting credentials of the CLSGrand Edition.</p>
<p>The extensive range of equipment includes the sophisticated COMAND APSMultimedia control and display system, comfort telephony, PARKTRONIC and &#8220;Grand Edition&#8221; velour floor mats.</p>
<p><strong>Pioneering engine technology in the CLS 350 CGI</strong></p>
<p>There are four engine variants available for the CLSGrand Edition, including the V6 unit for the entry-level CLS280 model and, perhaps most impressively of all, the CGIdirect-injection power plant for the CLS350 CGImodel, offering high output and low fuel consumption. This V6 engine with piezoelectric direct injection and spray-guided combustion develops 215 kW/292 hp and consumes just 9.1 litres of premium unleaded petrol per 100 kilometres (NEDC combined).</p>
<p>The Mercedes-Benz CLSGrand Edition can be ordered from January 2, 2009. Prices start at 67,294.50 Euros incl. VAT (CLS280 Grand Edition). The deliveries to customers start in March 2009.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>ML 63 AMG “10th Anniversary”: Exclusive high-performance SUV with particularly appealing fittings</p>
<p>The successful ML 63 AMG will shortly be launched as the especially exclusive “10th Anniversary” variant. The 375-kW/510-hp top M-Class model fascinates with its striking appearance and extraordinary standard features. With the ML 63 AMG “10th Anniversary”, Mercedes AMG is celebrating ten years of high-performance SUVs. The ML 55 AMG with a 255-kW/347-hp AMG 5.5-l V8 engine, launched in 1999, is considered the trendsetter and founder of an entire vehicle segment.</p>
<p>The ML 63 AMG “10th Anniversary” jubilee model was developed in the AMG PERFORMANCE STUDIO and showcases AMG’s expertise in catering to the wishes of individual customers. The experts at the AMG PERFORMANCE STUDIO were also responsible for developing the new SL 65 AMG Black Series, as well as Official F1™ Safety Car and Official F1™ Medical Car.</p>
<p>The newly designed front end dominates the extraordinary appearance of the ML 63 AMG “10th Anniversary”: the bonnet with power domes catches the eye, as does the radiator grille with fins painted Himalaya grey. A matching Himalaya grey underseal and fog lamp fittings form a delightful contrast to the exterior paintwork in metallic obsidian black, metallic iridium silver and calcite white. Shaded Bi-Xenon headlights add the finishing touch to the front view.</p>
<p>Viewed from the side, the exclusive 21” AMG light alloy wheels with a five-spoke design commands attention: the combination of Himalaya grey paintwork and the high-sheen surface creates a lasting impression. The 10 x 21” AMG light alloy wheels are fitted all round with size 295/35 R 21 wide-base tyres. On the rear end of the ML 63 AMG “10th Anniversary”, the underseal in Himalaya grey mirrors the design of the front end.</p>
<p><strong>Exquisite two-tone nappa leather upholstery in the interior</strong></p>
<p>The AMG sports seats can be adjusted electronically, and feature a multi-contour function and seat heating. A new feature is the exquisite two-tone nappa leather upholstery available in two different colour combinations: black/alpaca grey and black/beige. The AMG sports steering wheel is also two-tone, designed to match the interior colour scheme. Perforated leather covering the grip area ensures optimum handling, and the AMG switch paddles enable manual gear changing. The exclusive tone is emphasised not just by the upper part of the dashboard clad in designo leather and the black roof lining, but also the charcoal poplar wood trim.</p>
<p>The ML 63 AMG “10th Anniversary” will be available to order in spring 2009; the first vehicles will be delivered to customers in summer 2009.</p>
<p><strong>ML 55 AMG: Worldwide trendsetter and first ever high-performance SUV</strong></p>
<p>With the new ML 63 AMG “10th Anniversary”, Mercedes AMG GmbH is celebrating ten years of AMG high-performance SUVs. The ML 55 AMG, the high-performing top model from the popular first generation of M-Class vehicles, was launched in September 1999 at the International Motor Show in Frankfurt on Main. As the founder of the new “high-performance SUV” segment, the ML 55 AMG quickly became a best seller in the AMG range of models. With a maximum output of 255 kW/347 hp, an engine displacement of 5.5 litres and eight cylinders, the ML 55 AMGoffered a level of driving performance previously unthinkable in this segment: it could accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.8 seconds, and had a top speed of 235 km/h. The extraordinary combination of its superior drive train, greater off-road suitability, outstanding driver comfort, unrivalled safety and generous interior delighted AMGcustomers all over the world. Over 11,000 ML 55 AMGs were sold between 1999 and 2003.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The new 2010 Ford Shelby GT500 delivers the most power and refinement ever for a Ford SVT-tuned performance Mustang – and a few surprises, too.</p>
<p><strong>-Ford&#8217;s Special Vehicle Team (SVT) delivers a more powerful 2010 Shelby GT500 increased to 540 horsepower, torque increased to 510 foot-pounds, downforce increased and drag reduced </strong></p>
<p>-New gearbox enhancements, plus a standard 3.55:1 rear axle ratio, mean the 2010 Shelby GT500 will deliver improved acceleration performance, while providing better highway fuel efficiency</p>
<p>-Aggressive new exterior design features new functional details, such as the hood extractor to remove heat from the engine and &#8220;Gurney Flap&#8221; spoiler to tune rear downforce; world-class materials and craftsmanship create the most unique GT500 interior yet</p>
<p>-2010 Shelby GT500 will be in dealer showrooms in spring</p>
<p>&#8220;The 2010 Shelby GT500 demonstrates Ford&#8217;s continuing commitment to high-performance vehicles,&#8221; said Derrick Kuzak, Ford group vice president, Global Product Development. &#8220;In addition to the numerous performance and refinement improvements inside and out, the 2010 Shelby GT500 is an estimated 2 miles per gallon more fuel efficient on the highway.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;We&#8217;re proud of the many enhancements that were developed jointly by the Ford and Shelby Automobiles team last year that we&#8217;ve now incorporated into the new 2010 Shelby GT500,&#8221; said Carroll Shelby, founder of Shelby Automobiles. &#8220;Building on what we learned to create the Shelby GT500KR, this new car offers a great combination of power, handling and braking. It is truly a special car that is a great deal of fun to drive.&#8221;</p>
<p>Ford&#8217;s Special Vehicle Team used the gains made on the 40th anniversary edition Shelby GT500KR &#8220;King of the Road&#8221; Mustangs as the performance starting point and built from there. The design team, with a nod to the original Shelby Cobras from the 1960s, takes those design cues even further with nuanced improvements in both the coupe and convertible, each of which boasts a more-refined interior.</p>
<p>&#8220;Working together on the KR, the Ford and Shelby teams developed new systems to continually improve the iconic Mustang,&#8221; stated Amy Boylan, president of Shelby Automobiles. &#8220;Those lessons learned are incorporated into the 2010 Shelby GT500. This approach will help maintain Mustang&#8217;s leadership position at the front of the pack and make the ownership experience even more enjoyable.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;The muscle car segment is becoming even more competitive,&#8221; said Jamal Hameedi, chief nameplate engineer for SVT. &#8220;We need to uphold the Mustang badge with honor, the Shelby badge with honor and most importantly the Ford badge with honor. The 2010 GT500 is the car that will do all of that.&#8221;</p>
<p><strong>More horsepower, more refinement, more functionality</strong></p>
<p>The combination of added horsepower, refinement and functionality makes the 2010 Shelby GT500 a unique high-performance car. The 2010 Shelby GT500 delivers more horsepower and more torque than the outgoing model, thanks in part to advancements pioneered on the GT500KR.</p>
<p>The 2010 Shelby GT500 is powered by a supercharged and intercooled 5.4-liter dual overhead cam V-8 engine expected to produce 540 horsepower and 510 foot-pounds of torque. The redline is 6,250 rpm. The car&#8217;s aluminum power dome hood not only adds to the Shelby&#8217;s appearance, it helps cool the engine through a hood extractor.</p>
<p>The Shelby&#8217;s open-element air induction system features a conical air filter instead of a flat-panel closed system to reduce air restriction. This approach allows more air to be pumped through the engine, producing more power and increasing the engine&#8217;s efficiency.</p>
<p>A cold-air intake feeds the coolest air possible directly into the air box, helping further increase horsepower. The intake necessitated moving the Cobra snake badge to the other side of the grille to enable maximum airflow.</p>
<p>The twin-disc clutch on the six-speed manual transmission has been significantly upgraded, improving drivability and NVH. The discs on the 2010 Shelby GT500 are larger – 250 mm in diameter compared with 215 mm in diameter on the outgoing model – and made of copper and fiberglass to make them more robust.</p>
<p>A unique component of the twin-disc system is the control of the intermediate disc. Rather than floating, it instead has six straps that control the engagement of the clutch, improving drivability.</p>
<p>The 2010 Shelby GT500 offers customers improved straight-line acceleration, plus fuel savings when cruising on the highway in the top gears. Gears 1-4 remain the same, but fifth gear changes from .80 to .74 while sixth gear goes from .63 to .50, meaning that the 2010 Shelby GT500 will turn lower engine RPMs in those gears and deliver improved fuel efficiency. The new final drive ratio, from 3.31 to 3.55, enables the improved acceleration in lower gears while complementing the revised fifth and sixth gear ratios.</p>
<p>The Shelby&#8217;s distinct sounds will be apparent as always, though with new refinements, thanks to the work of the Noise, Vibration and Harshness (NVH) team. A patented resonator placed between the air filter and engine throttle body helps keep unwanted noise in check.</p>
<p>&#8220;You still hear the supercharger but not so that it&#8217;s intrusive,&#8221; said Kerry Baldori, chief functional engineer for SVT. &#8220;It&#8217;s the same with the exhaust. You want people to know you&#8217;re driving something special, but you don&#8217;t want an exhaust note that overpowers the whole interior.</p>
<p>&#8220;We spent a lot of time getting the right sound quality out of the exhaust so you get that nice, crisp Shelby sound outside and a pleasant sound inside the cabin. It&#8217;s a nice balance; one isn&#8217;t overpowering the other.&#8221;</p>
<p>Driving dynamics also are improved, thanks to SVT&#8217;s signature chassis tuning as well as new 19-inch Goodyear F1 Supercar tires and forged aluminum wheels on the 2010 Shelby GT500 coupe and 18s on the convertible.</p>
<p>Spring and dampers have been optimized for better roll control, giving customers more confidence when braking, accelerating or turning. The new chassis tuning takes its philosophy from the KR program, with a greater emphasis placed on primary body control.</p>
<p>The team also stiffened the steering shaft.</p>
<p>&#8220;All our changes were about making the car to respond as fast and as predictable as possible,&#8221; Hameedi said. &#8220;The 2010 Shelby GT500 conveys an athletic, confident feel. The shifter, clutch pedal, brake-pedal efforts and overall steering efforts are easier now. We wanted to make sure we had a nice, crisp short-throw shifter that was easy to go from gear to gear.&#8221;</p>
<p>The Goodyear F1 Supercar 19-inch tires have been upgraded, too. SVT members developed a &#8220;recipe&#8221; for the attributes and characteristics they wanted in the tire, which Goodyear&#8217;s team of engineers, designers and manufacturers brought to life. The result is better grip, better handling and better NVH properties, leading to a better customer experience.</p>
<p>The wheels themselves complement the high-performance nature of the 2010 Shelby GT500. The 19-inch wheels are forged aluminum wheels milled on both sides. The extra machining process creates &#8220;blade&#8221; spokes with very thin, yet strong, cross-sections. The spokes have a specific curve from the rim to the hub, not only for strength, but also to accentuate the offset and width of the tires.</p>
<p>The 2010 Shelby GT500 features AdvanceTrac, Ford&#8217;s stability control system with several options for performance. The default &#8220;on&#8221; mode accommodates every-day driving, and a Sport mode delivers for those wanting to put the Shelby GT500 through its paces on the track. The system also can be turned completely off, although the anti-lock brake system and other active safety systems remain in place. Standard safety equipment includes: dual stage front air bags, side-impact air bags and Ford&#8217;s Personal Safety System.</p>
<p>Numerous aerodynamic upgrades, including a redesigned splitter, were made to the front end of the 2010 Shelby GT500.</p>
<p>&#8220;We worked hard to get as much downforce with as little drag as possible,&#8221; Baldori said. &#8220;We worked to seal off the air that comes in the front so it can&#8217;t go underneath the car. We spent a lot time sealing components such as the radiator and intercoolor to get rid of all the leak paths.</p>
<p>&#8220;The result of this evolution of aerodynamics is we&#8217;ve increased downforce, reduced drag and improved the overall efficiency of the 2010 Shelby GT500.&#8221;</p>
<p>Directing the air so it&#8217;s used most efficiently was a painstaking process that ultimately will be rewarding to customers. The design of the front fascia and the car&#8217;s &#8220;flush&#8221; hood helps focus air flow. The top grille focuses air into the radiator, with a rubber flap inside the engine compartment helping to seal the system. The lower grille helps cool the intercooler. SVT engineers also went as far to block off specific diamonds in the front of the 2010 Shelby GT500&#8217;s distinctive grille to help maintain the correct cooling and aerodynamic balance.</p>
<p><strong>A meaner, reskinned snake ready to take to the streets</strong></p>
<p>The 2010 Shelby GT500 is the most-robust design and most-distinctive model of the new 2010 Mustang lineup. &#8220;The design we chose was a &#8216;flush&#8217; hood where the fascia defines the entire front of the vehicle,&#8221; Hameedi said. &#8220;That&#8217;s very hard to execute from an engineering standpoint, but it really sets the Shelby off as very, very different from the base Mustang.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;This epitomizes the ultimate Mustang,&#8221; added George Saridakis, Exterior Design manager of the Mustang and Shelby GT500. &#8220;It&#8217;s all about power and expressing power.&#8221;</p>
<p>Saridakis said his team took a cue from the Shelby AC Cobra 427 with respect to the front grilles, which are gaping and appear ready to swallow the road.</p>
<p>Another obvious difference for the Shelby is the addition of racing stripes, which also will now be available on the convertible. &#8220;Racing stripes made their mark on 1960s-era Ford performance vehicles,&#8221; Hameedi notes. &#8220;That&#8217;s something we feel is a key part of the Shelby performance DNA – maybe more so than some of our competition.&#8221;</p>
<p>Rounding out the Shelby&#8217;s exterior modifications are the unique signature coiled Cobra badges on the front grille and front fenders, a more aggressive front splitter and lower-drag rear spoiler, which added to improved aerodynamic features, round out the exterior modifications. &#8220;We wanted the spoiler raked back aggressively to minimize drag, but we also have an integrated Gurney Flap that provides the downforce,&#8221; Saridakis said.</p>
<p><strong>What&#8217;s inside counts with the 2010 Shelby GT500</strong></p>
<p>The base 2010 Mustang received a powerful new interior design. For the GT500, the interior design team members challenged themselves to raise the bar even higher to create the ultimate Shelby Mustang interior.</p>
<p>Using genuine materials such as real leather in all seats, real aluminum on the instrument panel and Alcantara inserts on the seats and steering wheel gave the appearance a precisely crafted, jewel-like yet functional feel. &#8220;You&#8217;ll definitely know you&#8217;re in a Shelby,&#8221; said Douglas Gaffka, Chief Designer, Shelby GT500.</p>
<p>The genuine aluminum finish panels have a unique-to-GT500 three-dimensional dimpled texture pattern inspired by racing clutch plates, braided hoses and cross-drilled racing brake rotors. The pattern has been painstakingly tuned to compensate for the compound curvature of the instrument panels. In addition, the &#8220;GT500&#8243; logo has been discretely engraved into the aluminum in front of the passenger as a nod to classic Shelby Mustangs of the 1960s.</p>
<p>This unique aluminum finish panel is fully encapsulated by an exquisite soft seamless TPO (Thermoplastic Olefin) instrument panel with a shape that resonates with Mustang&#8217;s powerful heritage. The center stack flows into the console and features a sub-flush shifter trim ring, flush cup holder door and lockable console stowage featuring the word &#8220;SHELBY&#8221; engraved in its Satin Liquid Chrome release button.</p>
<p>All 2010 Mustangs and Shelbys feature bright 360-degree rings surrounding the gauge cluster, uninterrupted by the steering column. These rings will come in chrome for the Mustang and a Satin Liquid Chrome finish for the GT500. This finish is featured throughout the interior. An intricate cobra is etched into the center of the aluminum steering wheel badge. The Shelby Cobra appears at startup on the navigation screen, and the familiar red &#8220;SVT&#8221; logo utilizes new ambient lighting to illuminate the door scuffplate.</p>
<p>&#8220;When customers drive this car, they&#8217;re not only going to be impressed by the performance and the Shelby heritage, but they&#8217;re going to see all these carefully designed details and know they&#8217;ve bought a well-crafted car,&#8221; Saridakis said.</p>
<p>Even the classic white shift knob – an icon of Shelby Mustang DNA from years past – received special attention. First, it had to be the traditional white. It also had to be specific to the Shelby. The answer was to combine the racing-stripes theme with the traditional &#8220;H&#8221; pattern found on shifters to create a one-of-a-kind knob. Like the exterior, the racing stripes wrap from end to end, encircling the knob.</p>

The system fully integrates most Bluetooth-enabled mobile phones and digital media players, providing customers hands-free cell phone and music selection capabilities – plus new 911 Assist and Vehicle Health Report provided with no monthly fees.</p>
<p>911 Assist: When a phone is properly paired, turned on and connected to SYNC, the system is ready to assist in placing a call directly to a local 911 emergency operator in the event of an air bag-deploying accident. The key advantage of SYNC 911 Assist is speed, as calls are placed directly to local 911 operators.</p>
<p>Vehicle Health Report (VHR): SYNC gathers relevant information from the major vehicle control modules and packages diagnostic data into a usable format in a matter of minutes. That data packet is sent to Ford via an 800-number automatically dialed using the customer&#8217;s paired and operable mobile phone.</p>
<p>Ambient Lighting System with MyColor™ allows drivers to customize the interior lighting of the vehicle to suit their mood. The enhanced MyColor system features seven base colors – ice blue, purple, blue, orange, red, white and green. Customers also can create 125 custom colors by mixing the red-green-blue palette.</p>

<p>Voice-Activated Navigation with SIRIUS Travel Link™ is an industry-leading technology that will provide users with a unique, information-rich in-car experience. The suite of data services includes up-to-the-minute real-time traffic data with accident and incident information for 78 markets, coast-to-coast weather data including current conditions and five-day forecasts and fuel price information for more than 120,000 gas stations. SIRIUS Travel Link also offers sports scores and schedules and a listing of more than 4,500 movie theaters with movie times, theater addresses, movie synopses and more.</p>
<p>This combination of outstanding performance coupled with a fresh, exciting, well-crafted interior intensely focused on improving the entire experience will make the 2010 Shelby GT500 even more sought after, and a fitting addition to a long and proud history.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Toyota 1/X concept vehicle made its North American debut today at the 2008 Chicago Auto Show. Developed by Toyota Motor Corporation, the Toyota 1/X compact hybrid offers a glimpse into the next era of automotive technological design. The Toyota 1/X redefines from its very roots the idea of what it means to be environmentally considerate. Pronounced 1/Xth, the name is derived from its vehicle mass, fuel consumption and emissions output, each totaling a fraction of that of other vehicles in its class.</p>
<p>The 1/X features an aerodynamic ultra-lightweight design that maintains the interior space of the Toyota Prius hybrid and is approximately one-third the weight of the Prius. Its low 926-pound curb weight is partially achieved through the use of a light but very strong carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) throughout the body frame.</p>
<p>The aerodynamic shape of the 1/X and unique cabin design result in smaller pillars, allowing passengers more visibility and helping to create a greater sense of openness and freedom with its outer surroundings for driver and passengers. The CFRP material is lighter and stronger than traditional metals, creating a shock-absorbing like structure with cross-sections that help absorb energy during an impact.</p>
<p>The 1/X roof is produced from a bio-plastic made from environmentally-responsible material derived from kenaf and ramie plants. The result is a roof that improves heat insulation, emits less carbon dioxide, increases the amount of light entering the cabin, and reducing noise.</p>
<p>On the inside, the 1/X employs four ultra-lightweight seats made of polyester fiber that is knitted three-dimensionally for added comfort. The material functions like a spring or damper that helps create a cushion-like feel for all occupants.</p>
<p>The ultra-lightweight stature of the 1/X also helps contribute to a fuel efficiency target that would double that of the Prius and allow the 1/X to operate with an ultra-small hybrid powertrain located under the rear seat. The system combines a home rechargeable plug-in hybrid unit with a small 500cc 0.5-liter flexible-fuel engine that is 1/4th of the total weight of the Prius powertrain. The hybrid plug-in concept is designed to accommodate a lithium-ion battery that would be rechargeable at home. The result is a vehicle with the possibility of traveling over 600 miles on a small four-gallon tank of fuel and achieving the acceleration performance that is equivalent to the Prius.</p>
<p>In consideration of pedestrians and oncoming traffic, the 1/X is equipped with non-glare headlights. The front of the 1/X is dominated by an LED lighting system that sweeps under and across its large front windshield. The LED system helps eliminate glare emanating from the headlights. At sunset, the entire surface of the LED system softly illuminates the entire front surface. With the headlights on, the LED system surrounds the headlights with a soft light, helping to prevent glare from striking oncoming cars and nearby pedestrians.</p>
<p>The light weight of the Toyota 1/X allowed designers to equip the vehicle with smaller and thinner wheels that help reduce splashing while driving in wet conditions. The tires are designed with central grooves that further help prevent water from splashing in the direction of pedestrians.</p>
<p>The 1/X concept is one more example of Toyota&#8217;s commitment to designing clean, safe and innovative vehicles. The Toyota 1/X concept made its world debut at the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Pricing and full specification details for SEAT&#8217;s all-new Exeo saloon, released today, confirm that the Spanish upper medium segment contender will be a class leader when it arrives in showrooms next spring.</p>
<p>Available from £17,740 RRP, the elegant five-seat saloon promises premium quality and exceptional levels of standard equipment, alongside a healthy dose of SEAT&#8217;s trademark sporting character.</p>
<p>The firm has confirmed that its luxurious Latin newcomer, due to go on sale here in April, will be offered in S, SE, Sport and range-topping SE Lux trim levels, with an initial choice of three outstanding engines.</p>
<p>All Euro V-compliant, the powerplant selection include a brace of hi-tech common rail turbodiesels producing 143 PS or 170 PS, as well as a potent 200 PS turbocharged petrol. They are all mated, as standard, to a six-speed manual gearbox and all endow the Exeo with spirited performance.</p>
<p>At launch, the new SEAT saloon&#8217;s 0 to 62 mph times range from 9.2 seconds (for the 143 PS TDI) through 8.4 seconds (170 PS TDI) to a distinctly spirited 7.3 seconds for the 200 PS TSI petrol-powered version. Maximum speeds, where legal, are 133 mph, 142 mph and 149 mph respectively.</p>
<p>Fuel economy and exhaust emissions, both important considerations for private and business buyers alike in today&#8217;s straitened circumstances, are commendable. Depending on engine, the Exeo is capable of up to 51.4 mpg (on the combined cycle) with an official CO2 emissions figure of as little as 143 g/km.</p>
<p>Among the equipment highlights guaranteed to appear across the new range are USB connectivity (allowing MP3 music players to be used in-car); cruise control; steering wheel-mounted audio controls; dual zone climate control and stylish alloy wheels.</p>
<p>Front fog lamps, electrically adjustable and heated door mirrors, electric windows all round and colour-coded door handles and mirrors are also standard on every Exeo.</p>
<p>Step up to the Exeo SE and buyers can look forward to rear parking sensors, automatic lights and wipers, auto-dimming rear view mirror, leather steering wheel and gearknob, and an acoustic windscreen among the standard features.</p>
<p>As well as the equipment found in SE spec&#8217; cars, Exeo Sport buyers naturally benefit from the likes of sports suspension, sports seats and stylish 18&#8243; alloys, while those who opt for the range-topping SE Lux will enjoy black leather upholstery and bi-xenon headlights with AFS among their standard-fit kit.</p>
<p>Safety and security are comprehensively catered for as ESP and EBA are universal features, likewise active front head restraints, rear-seat ISOFIX points with Top Tether, six airbags, volumetric alarm with tilt sensor and remote central locking.</p>
<p>Quality, at every step of the car&#8217;s design and construction, is a key advantage for the Exeo as it prepares to make its UK debut. Meticulous attention to detail, allied to that generous standard equipment, combine to give the four-door a touch of real luxury.</p>
<p>Finally, an extensive array of options allows Exeo buyers to precisely personalise their cars. A DVD-based satellite navigation system, double-glazed side windows, electrically adjustable and heated front seats, and hi-tech solar sunroof all number among the extras available.</p>

(NNA) (NASDAQ:NSANY) gets an early start on the new year with the announcement of pricing of the all-new 2009 Nissan 370Z Coupe and a revised marketing tagline. The new Z(R) goes on sale today at Nissan dealers nationwide with a Manufacturer&#8217;s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP)* starting at $29,930 for the 2009 Nissan 370Z Coupe equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission and $31,230 with the new 7-speed automatic transmission. The new Z(R) is also offered in a 370Z Coupe Touring model, which is priced at $34,460 with the 6-speed manual and $35,760 with the 7-speed automatic transmission.</p>
<p>Two option packages are offered: the Sport Package, priced at just $3,000, with 19-inch RAYS forged wheels and Bridgestone Potenza tires, aerodynamic front and rear spoiler, larger Nissan Sport Brakes, SynchroRev Match (6-speed manual transmission only) and Viscous Limited Slip Differential; and the Navigation Package, priced at $1,850, with Hard Drive-based Nissan Navigation System, 9.3GB Music Box Hard Drive and Interface System for iPod(R).</p>
<p>As the most powerful Z(R) ever produced, the new 370Z hits dead center in the sports car &#8220;sweet spot&#8221; of performance, design and value &#8212; with less weight, more power and enhanced handling, quality and style. With a standard 332-horsepower 3.7-liter V6, choice of two advanced transmissions and a full array of driver-oriented interior features, the new 370Z is designed to be one of the top performance values in the world.</p>
<p>Also today Nissan announced the rollout of a revised marketing tagline: SHIFT_the way you move. Previously, SHIFT_ was used with multiple complement words, which varied by product or media application. The move to one set phrase &#8220;the way you move&#8221; reflects alignment of the direction Nissan is taking to meet changing consumer needs and wants.</p>
<p>&#8220;SHIFT_ has always been the core of Nissan&#8217;s DNA. It is rethinking the ordinary, changing your point of view, and being original, forward thinking and challenging,&#8221; said Christian Meunier, vice president, Nissan Marketing, NNA. &#8220;Our commitment to the philosophy of SHIFT_ has become even more critical as we look to the future and the pressures of economic and environmental change that are affecting consumer behavior in how they interact with and impact the world.&#8221;</p>

<p><strong>About the 2009 Nissan 370Z</strong></p>
<p>The all-new 2009 Nissan 370Z, the first full redesign of the iconic Nissan Z(R) since its reintroduction as a 2003 model, solidifies the strengths of its predecessor with an unmatched balance of performance, style and value. Nearly every piece and component of the 370Z has been rethought or redesigned (compared to the previous 350Z) &#8212; a shorter wheelbase, greater use of lightweight body materials, larger engine with 26 more horsepower, a new 7-speed automatic transmission, an available world&#8217;s first synchronized downshift rev matching 6-speed manual transmission, a new high quality interior design and new available technology features.</p>
<p>The 370Z&#8217;s new aerodynamic body is more compact and offers a more aggressive stance. Attention to details such as the new &#8220;boomerang&#8221; headlights and taillights increases its dynamic presence, elevating the overall styling to much higher quality and emotional levels. The dramatic new interior utilizes a driver-centric three-layer design which groups items by how a driver sees information, operates the controls and is held in place &#8212; so drivers feel completely connected and engaged whenever and wherever they drive.</p>
<p>Performance has been enhanced with a more rigid body structure, better power-to-weight ratio and a new 332-horsepower 3.7-liter DOHC V6 engine with Variable Valve Event and Lift Control (VVEL). Crisp handling is provided by a refined 4-wheel independent suspension, while steering and braking systems, including available Nissan Sport Brakes, have also been upgraded. <p>The new Z(R) is offered in two models: 370Z and 370Z Touring.
