The Elise revealed officially 1 month ago, it adopts the beautiful family design debuted by Evora (its sibling). It has a new bumper at the front, incorporating bigger intakes of air. It feature an all-new headlight design, with daytime LED running lights (that’s a premiere for Elise).

The facelift of Lotus Elise runs with either 1.8-liter engine or 1.6-liter engine having a supercharger. The strongest (expensive too) variant of the sportscar is SC the supercharged variant that makes 217 horsepower.

The Lotus Elise entry-level facelift produces 134 horsepower, 118 lbs-ft torque, sprinting from 0 to 60 in only 6.7 seconds. The auto has a maximum speed of 124 mph (200 km/h).

The 1.6-liter 134 hp engine, an unique displacement, never seen before on Elise, is emitting 155 grams CO2/km, 13 % reduction if you compared to the old unit. The 1.8-liter makes now 196 grams CO2/km.

All Elise cars get a close-ratio 6-speed gearbox. The facelifted variant of the Elise has alloy rims, all-new. The facelifted Lotus Elise features an aluminum, lightweight steel chassis plus a completely independent suspension system.

“The next generation of Magentis possesses the power to surprise,” says Peter Schreyer, Kia’s Chief Design Officer. “It’s a car that people will simply not expect from Kia – and that’s exactly what we set out to achieve.”

The saloon exudes an athletic confidence from every angle – its raked roofline, high and pronounced shoulder line of its sculpted flanks and its extended wheelbase are complemented by flared wheelarches and a shallow glasshouse that create a saloon with a muscular, self-assured stance.

The striking visage of the car features a new interpretation of Kia’s bold ‘tiger’ family face that’s edged by piercing projector headlamps.

Following the theme of recent model revisions, new Magentis is longer, lower and wider than before, the Kia’s coupe-like profile is enhanced by the sweeping chrome arc that flows from A to C pillar, a distinctive design motif that visually lowers the car further still and enhances its cab-backwards proportions.

“For this car we started with a clean sheet and worked to achieve an exterior design with a European feeling and stance,” explains Gregory Guillaume, Chief Designer, Kia Europe. To help achieve this, the exterior was designed by his team in Frankfurt. The interior was created by the design team in California.

The new D-segment offering is spacious, and with class-leading levels of safety and luxury equipment, the intelligently configured and driver-oriented cabin underlines a newfound poise and presence.

“This new model embodies Kia’s confident new design direction,” says Schreyer. “It’s a global car with individual appeal.”

The all-new Kia saloon will be launched in phases around the globe and will be seen in UK showrooms in 2011 – the model name will be confirmed closer to launch.

The Kia Motors press conference for the New York International Auto Show will take place on April 1, 2010 from 10:10 – 10:35 am (local time) at the Kia stand on Level 1 of the ‘Jacob Javits Center’ located between 34-39 Streets on 11th Avenue in New York City.

With its 4.8-litre V8 engine, the new Porsche Panamera offers enormous potential for power. However, even the turbo version reaches its limits at 368 kW/500 hp. But the Porsche specialists of Cargraphic in Germany are now showing what they’re made of by achieving a ten per cent power upgrade.

With 404 kW/550 hp and a torque plus of 75 Nm, the acceleration is now just below the four-second mark. Even the speedometer needle gets a slight boost at top speed right around the 300 km/h mark. The Russian premiere Porsche Panamera Stingray is fixed on the 2nd of April at Dream Car Show 2010 in Moscow. The world premiere of this model will take place at the exhibition TOP MARQUES in Monaco on the 15th of April.

The NOVITEC ROSSO specialists fit the eight-cylinder four-valve engine of the California with a mechanical charger driven by the crankshaft via a cogged belt. Boost pressure is limited to 0.4 bars.

The system also includes a water-to-air intercooler, a custom intake manifold and larger injectors. On the exhaust side the car is equipped with a NOVITEC ROSSO stainless-steel high-performance exhaust system with sport catalysts. The front reverts to its original position at a second push of the button or automatically upon reaching a speed of 80 km/h.

Based on the M GmbH’s 4.4ltr. Biturbo V8 engine offering a maximum power of 555hp, NOWACK MOTORS created a new technical masterpiece.

Deliver a standard X5M or X6M to the small but highly experienced specialized German engineering and manufacturing outfit and they’ll nearly strip it back to a skeleton. All that’s left of the engine is the external look, which remains the same than in the standard cars.

It all starts with the disassembly of the standard engine, leaving only the external parts of the engine unchanged.

First, the cylinder block undergoes the process of machining (boring/honing) to fit the new NOWACK MOTORS oversize high performance pistons. Afterwards, a unique Alusil coating is being applied to the cylinders for less friction.

For the first time in the history of BMW M engines, the new 4.4ltr. V8 features forced induction provided by two turbochargers.
